Small Business Saturday falls on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving every year. This year, it will fall on November 29th, 2025. Small Business Saturday is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores respectively. By contrast, Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick-and-mortar businesses that are small and local. Small Business Saturday is a registered trademark of American Express and started in 2010. The City of Bluefield has been participating in Small Business Saturday for 11 years now! Fill out the below form to sign up for BEDA's 2025 Small Business Saturday activities. Note, it does NOT cost anything to participate unless you sign up for our Marketing Co-Op.

Is your business going to have an incentive for folks to shop with you on Small Business Saturday? (Ex., discount incentive or release new products). This is not required to participate, we just like to help you market this if so.*

Be featured in ads on WVVA, Bluefield Daily Telegraph, and the radio. Cost is shared between registrants and is usually $60/business. Deadline to register is November 1, 2025 at 4:30 pm. (must be licensed Bluefield, WV business & open the day of SBS)*

Social Media Campaign - We will take a photo of you/your business to post on our accounts leading up to SBS (~5 minute or less commitment) If you opt in, you’ll get an email to schedule your photo with our team. Deadline to register is Nov 17 at 4:30 pm.*

SBS Raffle Prize Donation-Shoppers earn entries with purchases at participating businesses. In the past, prizes have included Chick-fil-A for a year, gift cards, and a gift basket from our participating small businesses. Note:Owners/employees can’t enter.*

Have ideas to improve Small Business Saturday? We can’t change the national date, but we welcome suggestions on how to best market and assist you! Our goal is to promote local businesses and encourage the community to shop small this holiday season.
