The Bluefield WV Economic Development Authority of the City of Bluefield will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday March 19, 2026, 8:00 AM, at 500 Bland Street Bluefield WV in the Third Floor Small Business Success Center (BEDA Offices).  

The Agenda will be as follows:

Call to Order
I. Approval of minutes from the regular meeting of January 15, 2026

II. Financial Report - Overview of funds available, expenditures and fund restrictions.

III. Pending Approval: Executive Session Pursuant to W.VA. Code 6-9A-4(a)(9)
a. Potential purchase of Commercial Building in the City of Bluefield
b. Potential disposition of BEDA property
c. Investment of public funds in environmental/preliminary engineering for industrial property
d. Construction planning for former Mercer Nursing Home
e. Advice of legal counsel regarding BEDA Bylaws
f. Personnel matters - sick leave

IV. Actions
a. Appointment of Anthony Heltzel as the BEDA Attorney
b. Approval of entering into agreements for third party delivery for technical services and training based upon recommendations from the E2G selection committee.
c. Approval of $7,500.00 expenditure to the City of Bluefield for labor assistance on the 400 block for Power Drop Meter Base
d. Other actions pending approval from Executive Session
